Hopper Heritage Foundation Golf Scramble and Banquet

The second annual Hopper Heritage Golf Scramble was held on May 12 and 13, at the Deep Springs Country Club in Stoneville, NC.  The event began on Monday evening with a sold out banquet for supporters of the Foundation.  Music for the event was provided by the original Hopper Brothers and the Hoppers.  Wayne Hopper provided entertainment with his stand up comedy.

The golf scramble was held on Tuesday with 108 golfers participating.  The participants included industry executives, artists, family and friends of the Hoppers.  The scramble featured the opportunity to win two million dollars, a vacation for two at any Fairmont Resort, and $10,000 cash.

The purpose of the scramble is to raise money for the Hopper Heritage Foundation.  The Foundation uses the money to assist you men and women in attaining an education for furthering the cause of Christ and Southern Gospel Music.

Plans are currently underway to plan next year’s event.  If you are interested in participating or sponsoring, please contact Joyce at the Hoppers.

CLARKE BEASLEY OF THE NQC… “The Hopper Heritage Foundation Benefit Golf Tournament was one of the best organized tournaments I have ever been a part of.  The prize packages as well as the organization of the tournament itself would be a model for any prestigious tournament to emulate.  I congratulate all who were a part of this stunning success.”

ED O’NEAL OF THE DIXIE MELODY BOYS… “Over the years I’ve attended my share of tournaments sponsored by various Southern Gospel Music entities; however, I must say this event has to be one of the best.  You are treated like a VIP from the time you arrive to the time you leave.  It’s first class!”

RAY DEAN REESE OF THE KINGSMEN QUARTET… “Wanted to send a ‘Thank You’ for the invitation and the opportunity to play in your ‘Hopper Foundation Golf Tournament’.  It was one of the most organized and delightful tournaments that I have ever played in.  Everyone that knows me also knows my passion for golf.  Through the years I have had an opportunity to play the game around the world in numerous golf tournaments: Pro-Am, Industry tournaments and charity causes.  This one was TOPS.  What a wonderful works this event does for young people to be able to attend college.  Thank you again for the invitation and to be able to play in such a well organized tournament.”
